‘Zef’ is a monohull sailboat of 13,10 meters long, and is both as seaworthy as perfectly habitable in comfort. Versatile and puissant, our Gib’Sea 442 can be adapted to all programs, whether that involves coastal navigation or offshore cruising. She is a puissant fortress. There is enough space to host maximum 12 persons, but for every passenger’s comfort we limit our capacity at 6 persons. The main living area is spacious and bright, with high quality woodwork and clever finishing touches. Easily manageable with a small crew, its weight makes Zef advance confidently through the water. All in all, this makes for an excellent offshore yacht which is sensitive at the helm and with no compromise having been made between performance and comfort.
The outside is equipped with a very much needed Bimini (or sun cover), a deck shower, a Hi-Fi sound system, and a removable table for apéritif and outside dinners. A motorized dinghy is at your service to disembark on any beach of your desire.. Our standup paddle can take you to the most hidden caves. Masks, flippers and tubas are also on board, so you can enjoy exploring what happens below the water surface.
We’ve got quite the selection of sails to hoist on board Zef! Starting with our half-battened main sail with 3 reefs, a furling Genoa, a 1 reef solent on a releasable Dyneema forestay, a storm jib and a colorful symetrical spinnaker on pole. A furling genaker is number #1 on our soon-to-realise-wishlist!
Our spacious saloon can easily accommodate the whole crew for some card games and has two extra berths on the side, which are perfect for your afternoon nap!
Your sleeping space is composed of two double aft cabins, and two forward (bow) cabins each equipped with bunk beds. These beds are foreseen with fixed ‘bunk nets’, allowing you a good night’s sleep without the worry of rolling out during offshore navigations. They enlarge the personal sleeping space for adults, and are also ideal for your kids’ safety.
The chart table (or navigation desk) is aimed in the travelling direction, and is equipped with both electronical charts as the paper edition maps. Be my guest to learn how to use them, as they are awaiting you to be unfolded!
We have one general bathroom and two toilets at your service.
Everyone feels at ease in our U-shaped galley (or kitchen), as this is by far the best shape one can have on a monohull, especially for long navigations.
For your safety, our vessel is entirely equipped for coastal and offshore navigation, as we cross continents in between seasons. On board you’ll find for example an EPIRB (emergency position-indicating radio beacon station), as an AIS ship tracking device, as a Telescopic IOR DAN Buoy, etc. Also, a lifejacket will be distributed (rented for free) to every passenger upon arrival.
